M.D., Ph.D., Chairman of Scientific Advisory Board and Scientific Advisor
Dr. Gil Mor, M.D., Ph.D., is a distinguished physician-scientist in reproductive immunology. He holds the John M. Malone Jr., M.D., Endowed Chair of Women’s Health Research and is Scientific Director of the C.S. Mott Center for Human Growth and Development at Wayne State University in Detroit. He also serves as Vice Chair of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology and is a tenured professor.
Previously, Dr. Mor was a tenured professor at Yale University School of Medicine, where he led the Reproductive Science Division, the Reproductive Immunology Unit, and the translational “Discovery to Cure” research program.
He served as Editor-in-Chief of the American Journal of Reproductive Immunology (2009–2019) and Placenta (2020–2022) and is a past president of the American Society for Reproductive Immunology. His research explores the immunology of pregnancy and the role of inflammation in cancer, integrating endocrinology, oncology, and reproductive medicine.
Dr. Mor has published over 370 peer-reviewed papers with more than 41,800 citations. He is the author of six books and Senior Editor of an Elsevier reproductive immunology series and holds ten U.S. patents. His work has been funded by NIH institutes including NICHD, NCI, NIEHS, and NIAID, as well as by industry partners.
His honors include the Harold Behrman Award, the AJRI Award, the Pearl River Professorship, the Kiril Bratanov Medal, and the 2024 Huaxia Medical Science Award. He is an AAAS Fellow and member of the Academy of Scholars at Wayne State.
Dr. Mor is a frequent international speaker and serves on several advisory boards, including the International Advisory Committee for the Sino-American Center of Translational Medicine and academic appointments in China. He is also an honorary professor in scientific societies across Asia, South America, and Europe.
